WorldHockey.org visitors favour Argentina and Netherlands

Visitors to the women’s Samsung Hockey Champions Trophy website believe that Argentina and Netherlands will clash for the title on Sunday.

With three rounds completed in Canberra, a WorldHockey.org Poll has both teams receiving an almost equal share of votes, with less that five percentage points between them.

Argentina were the clear pre-tournament favourites for the title, but the Netherlands’ stellar displays in the opening three matches have catapulted them into second favouritism.

The world’s number one and two ranked teams are polling approximately 80 percent of the votes.

Australia is receiving approximately 15 percent of the votes ahead of tonight’s vital clash with Argentina, while website visitors have dismissed China’s slim finals hopes.

However the home town Hockeyroos can secure a berth in the final with a win against Argentina, throw the polling into disarray.

Netherlands can also confirm their place in Sunday’s decider with a victory against China in the first match on day four. They have been the standout team so far in the tournament and are heavily favoured to notch their fourth straight win and end China’s title campaign in the first match of the afternoon.

Visitors can cast their vote on the homeage of this website.
